SOBT SUMMER CAMP
For Levels 1 and 2 the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre is
offering a special 3 week summer camp this year. Classes and workshops will
take place Monday – Thursday from 10:00am – 1:30pm. Besides a daily 1 hour and
15 minute ballet class, both levels will experience introductory classes in
other dance forms and music. There will be visits to various OBT departments
including the costume shop, the pointe shoe room and the production department.
The visits will include fun on-the-job projects. Students shouldn’t be
surprised if their favorite OBT company dancers stop by for informal visits
throughout the camp! In addition, there will be daily dance based workshops
that fuel creativity, expression and imagination in improvisation, compositional
processes, and performing arts dance forms. The workshops will lead to an
informal, in studio showing for parents on the last day of the camp. The
workshops will focus on a theme to be determined but will be based on a
classical ballet, a well-known story, or a popular piece of music.
Registration for the summer camp has been extended to May

Tuition for the 3 week, half day program is $600.
