OBT School's Inclement Weather Policy

OBT School follows Portland Public School District’s decisions regarding inclement weather closures or delays.

If the school district closes for the entire day then OBT School will not hold either morning or evening classes. This includes weekends. If PPS cancels weekend activities OBT School will cancel classes and ASP rehearsals.

If the school district closes early and/or cancels evening activities, then OBT School will not hold evening classes, including Pre-Ballet, Preparatory Division and Adult Workshops.

If the school district has a late start then OBT School will not hold morning classes. Trainee and OBT2 classes may be cancelled or delayed depending on company rehearsal.

In the event that PPS does not close, open late or release early, then OBT School will proceed with classes, unless otherwise stated, and we ask that families use caution when deciding whether or not to send their child to class. No student will be penalized if they do not attend class due to inclement weather. Please notify the school by phone or e-mail if the student will not attend classes that day.
