Dear SOBT 2015 ASP
Participants,
We are fast approaching
this year’s ASP on April 25th and 26th in the Newmark Theatre. We want to make
this year’s performance the best it can possibly be.
As with last year, the
performance’s culminating piece, the Grand Etude, showcases over 100 students
from the school. Students in levels 1 through 5 will be wearing their class
leotard. To add a little sparkle to this, we ask that all female students wear
a matching skirt. The School of OBT will place the order; however we ask that
all participatns pay for their skirt in order to cover costs.
These skirts will not
only serve as a beautiful costume for the ASP, but after the performances
everyone will get to keep their skirt and students will be permitted to wear
their skirts for certain classes in the summer programs.
If it will not be
possible for you to purchase a skirt, please contact us and we will see what we
can arrange. In addition, should you want to donate one or more skirts to other
students, financial donations will be accepted and greatly appreciated.
Many Level 1 and 2
students may still have their matching skirt from last year. If this is the
case, we ask that you bring your skirt to the studio by March 21st, so wardrobe
can collect and prepare them for the performance. Please be sure your name is
on the tag before turning in your skirt. These can be given to Shari, Karin or
James
Skirts for Levels 1 and
2 cost $14.00 (only if you do not have one from last year or are new to the
school as of this Annual Session); Level 3 skirts cost $18.50; and skirts for
Levels 4 and 5 cost $22.50. Please see the Pages section of the SOBT blog for
the order form.
Payment is due by
Saturday, April 4, 2015. You can make a payment to Karin, Shari or James.
Please return your completed order form with payment by cash or check payable
to The School of OBT.
