Nutcracker Rehearsal Dress Code for students learning adult roles (Levels 5-PD)

Effective immediately and per Kevin Irving dress code for student dancers (Level 5 - PD) learning company/adult roles is as follows:

Ladies - Freed pointe shoes, pink footed tights and a colored leotard, with an option for a skirt.

Nutcracker Ticket Discount Update

Tickets for certain premium Nutcracker performances are nearly sold out. For these performances the OBT Box Office needs to limit the amount of 50% discount tickets to a total of $400 per family. For all other performances SOBT families will enjoy a 50% discount on all tickets bought. The Box Office has also asked us to notify everyone that the best seats are available for performances after Christmas.

Below is the list of premium performances where a total of $400 of 50% discounted tickets may be purchased per family:

UPDATE Company Rehearsal Schedule Thursday, November 13 - Rehearsal canceled!

The Company rehearsal for Snow today, Thursday, 11.13.14, has been canceled!

There are no company rehearsals involving students from the school today.

This post pertains only to dancers cast to learn adult roles in The Nutcracker.

SOBT Closed Thursday

Due to weather, SOBT is closed today, Thursday, November 13. All classes are canceled. SOBT follows the lead of Portland Public Schools in determining when the school closes in cases of inclement weather.

The school will reopen on Friday, November 14.

Students involved in company rehearsals please stay tuned. As of now, company class is delayed until 11:00AM and we are awaiting a revisal of today's schedule. When that becomes available it will be posted here.

2014-15 SOBT ASP Guidelines and Commitment Form

Dear SOBT Level 1 through PD Families,

We are beginning preparations for The School of OBT's 2014-2015 Annual School Performance (ASP). The ASP is open to all students enrolled in Levels 1A through Apprentice.

Participation in the ASP is strongly encouraged, and mandatory for all scholarship recipients, and Pre-Professional Division students and Apprentices.

The 2014-2015 Performance Commitment Form is required for participation. If you choose not to participate, this form still needs to be returned. Please complete the form and return it by Wednesday, November 26, 2014, to Karin or James at the SOBT reception desk.
