OBT School Update - May 1, 2020

Dear OBT School Community,

A huge shout out is in order for our amazing OBT School students! Here are a few of the things we hear from your teachers –

“Teaching remotely has made me realize how much I miss hearing the beautiful voices of our students! Although their individual personalities come through in their dancing – I sure do miss hearing their laughter and joy while learning ballet!” – Alison Roper

“I have found that the students are engaged and trying their best in the ZOOM classes. I really appreciate that they are staying focused and making the most out of the situation!” – Jessica Post

“Life is full of changes and challenges. These times have brought stress and the unknown, but my constant has always been my ballet. I am thrilled to keep connected to our students and offer them an outlet and hopefully inspiration. The feeling of being together and having class via ZOOM is far from ideal but this connection has offered me a renewed spirit of dedication to my teaching. I want to thank all our passionate and eager students and let them know how much I appreciate them.” – Elise Legere

“I thank the families for their support through this time and I applaud the students, who show up and work hard in these challenging circumstances. I look forward to seeing their faces every class!” – Lisa Sundstrom

Plans are being finalized for some exciting upcoming events on OBTS CONNECTS! Please expect to hear more details about the following:

2019 ON STAGE | OBT Annual School Performance – ‘WATCH PARTIES’
OFF STAGE | ASP – A Video Chronicle – Zoom Performances

While our school staff is busy working through contingency plans, we remain hopeful that our 2020 Summer Intensive and summer programming will proceed with in-studio classes. All plans hinge on our alignment with health, safety, and governmental mandates and guidelines.

In good health!
