Volunteer Opportunity

School of Oregon Ballet Theatre is seeking volunteers to assist with distribution of materials throughout Lake Oswego, West Linn, Milwaukie, Oregon City, Gladstone, Tigard, Tualatin, Happy Valley and Clackamas County. 

We are in need of 6-10 volunteers between February 20- March 10th who can commit to 3-5 hours of distributing materials to businesses and public bulletin boards. There are several neighborhoods and areas to choose from and you can do it on your own time, though it would need to be times when most businesses are open. Please provide your own transportation. In exchange for your service, SOBT is offering two tickets to Oregon Ballet Theatre’s performances of “Terra”, April 13-22, 2017. Please contact Rachel Närhi, West Linn Branch Manager at sobtwestlinn@obt.org if you’re interested. 

Classes to take place as scheduled

Following the lead of Portland Public Schools, all afternoon and evening classes at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre will take place today, Friday, February 3.

 

As always, use caution and discretion if conditions remain wintery in your location.

SOBT Friday, February 3

There will be no morning drop-in class at the Portland Studio today, Friday, February 3.

 

Concerning afternoon and evening classes, we will follow Portland Public Schools determination on evening athletics and activities which they expect to announce around midday.  Please check back for the latest details.

ASP Rehearsals

Dear SOBT Families,

This Saturday, February 4 will start the process of rehearsals for our Annual School Performance.

All communication will take place via the OBT Young Dancers blog at the link below. Here you will find rehearsal schedules and helpful information for new and veteran  parents. Please direct communication for the ASP to coordinator@obt.org, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the process.

The first rehearsal schedule is posted at the link below. It is helpful to read through the posts on the blog and to sign up for email subscriptions as rehearsals may change regularly. This weekend we will start with Levels 1A and 1B (Please see the link below for details). Levels 2-OBT2 do not have rehearsal this weekend.
